Research Collaborations
CTDS is open to a range of research collaborations from building new features into data commons or meshes, to performing research on data sharing or analysis methods including AI/ML, joint submissions to a funding opportunity, operating a data commons or mesh, and others. Please reach out if you like to discuss an opportunity with our faculty and staff (ctds@uchicago.edu).
For those projects limited to operating a data commons or mesh, we have included standard rates below where we charge sponsors a flat fee for operations. Costs for more complex projects would be negotiated on a case by case basis.

Level 1: $150,000
Level 2: $250,000
Level 3: $350,000
Level 4: $450,000
Level 5: $550,000
Level 6: $650,000
Description: These costs include a central cloud based operations system for deployment, log aggregation, and operations management for data meshes, data fabrics, and/or other data services.
